Experience
I started out tutoring as a high school student, helping students learn the French language and the flute. I really enjoyed tutoring, so I continued to do it through college, where I was able to help students learn chemistry, French, and Mandarin Chinese. After I graduated, I taught English for three years in China. I'm currently teaching ESL at a language school in San Diego. I enjoy tutoring because I can work individually with students and focus on their exact needs and learning style. It's rewarding to see students succeed and to become confident in their abilities in a topic they had previously had difficulty with. I'm looking forward to tutoring students in English grammar, vocabulary, Mandarin Chinese, Latin, French, history, algebra, social studies, ESL, music theory, phonics, flute, and test preparation for the ACT, SAT, ISEE, and other exams. In my free time I like to play music, listen to music, spend time with friends, go to the beach, and cook.
