ExperienceMy passion lies in teaching Mandarin Chinese. I'm originally from Wenzhou, a town in southeast China known for its business acumen. Earning my Master's in Education degree from Boston University, I am in my 3rd year of teaching in MA public schools. During those 3 years, I've constantly adapted new techniques and strategies into my teaching to meet students' individual needs. I have accumulated skills that make my lessons engaging, fun and very interactive. Through my unique style of teaching and creative lesson planning, students are engaged at a higher level which leads to much higher levels of content retention. As novices to Mandarin Chinese, after 6 months of study, my 7th graders are now able to compose conversations about their family, order food, and weather independently. With regard to pronunciation, all my 7th graders sound approximate to native speakers. In order to spread the fun, successful teaching and learning experience of Mandarin Chinese beyond classroom, I want to propose this opportunity for you and me to meet and have fun with speaking, listening, writing and reading in Chinese. My goal is to understand your Mandarin Chinese goals and construct an individualized course outline to best achieve those established goals.
I can help you improve if you are novice, proficient or fluent in Mandarin Chinese.
