Education
Stanford University -- MS Chemistry (Inorganic), 2013 University of Rochester -- BS Chemistry, 2011 Exams: AP Chemistry -- 5 Chemistry Subject SAT II -- 800 GRE Chemistry Subject Test -- 810 I loved studying chemistry in high school because I was "good a it." When I got to college, it took me a full year and a half to figure out the difference between being good at chemistry and understanding a chemical system. The way I tutor chemistry reflects the way I think about chemistry now; I want to help students achieve their chemical awareness so that courses don't require an overwhelming amount of memorization. This elegant science describes the world in the smallest scale that we can observe. Once my students can "see" the world as a chemist does, their problem sets, exams, and lab reports will become a breeze.
Experience
I have been a TA for 10 college level and graduate chemistry courses. Additionally, I have a year's experience of TA training from the Stanford University Center for Teaching and Learning. I have tutored multiple high school and college students in general, organic, inorganic, and physical chemistry.
